Easter is the day that Christians rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus. This year we will focus on why Jesus died and rose again by surveying three essential things: The Garden, The Curtain, and The Cross. We invite you to join us in attending this year’s Easter celebration.
The service of Tenebrae, meaning “darkness” or “shadows,” has been practiced by the church since medieval times. This service is a prolonged meditation on Christ’s suffering. Readings trace the story of Christ’s passion, and music portrays his emotion and the drama of this momentous day. We invite you to come and join us as we reflect on Jesus’ death on the cross for our sins.

For Christians who also happen to be business professionals, faith and work don’t often intersect. The connection between faith and work is not always obvious, but it is a God-given calling to make them connect. What if all Christians saw work as something holy? And what if work was actually an opportunity to worship God?
The Bible is full of examples of people living their daily lives on an eternal mission, weaving together their faith and work in their everyday lives. Like the men and women of the Bible, God designed Christians to worship AND work together. RightNow Media is passionate about seeing the two brought back together, which is why the Work as Worship Retreat was organized.
“We all spend the majority of our waking hours doing some kind of work—in the office, on the job site, or around the house—but we are often tempted to compartmentalize our faith and our work,” says RightNow Media President Brian Mosley. “However, God has called us to live out our faith every day of the week, not just on Sundays.”
RightNow Media’s beliefs about faith and work boil down to the following eight tenants:
1. Work is good.
2. Sin corrupted work.
3. Jesus makes it possible for work to be redeemed.
4. God gave us a mission.
5. We carry Christ into our work.
6. God grows us through our work.
7. God can do more with our work than we can imagine. 8. Work is worship.
God gives every person their talents and skills so that through them we might worship him. The Work as Worship Retreat is an opportunity to connect our talents and skills back to our daily worship through work.

At OSBC we believe that membership matters, that’s why our constitution and bylaws contains a church membership covenant. It is also why we require all those seeking to join our church as members to complete a membership class with a pastor or elder.
What happens at a members meeting?
Our members meetings are a time of fellowship and encouragement while we discuss what God is doing at OSBC. We believe that it's important to spend time together as a body so we have a dinner before we get to the discussion portion of the meeting.
**These meetings are a great place for non-members to learn about the church and the exciting things that are taking place. Non-members are welcome, however, they are not allowed to contribute to the meeting discussion or vote**

OSBC is joining together in worship with other believers in Olney on Good Friday to remember the greatest act in redemptive history-- the sacrificial death of our Lord Jesus Christ. We will hear preaching from different pastors and ministers about the "Words from the Cross."
Life Group Summary:
The church wasn’t our idea—it was His. Jesus established the church as the natural arena for our spiritual growth, and our health depends on it. In this series, Dr. Mark Dever and Dr. Jonathan Leeman survey the marks of a healthy church, where we are called to display God’s glorious character in unity, holiness, and love. We can’t do it alone.
