Position Summary

The Youth & Worship Director is a split position. The youth portion of the role oversees and ensures the day-to-day operation and execution of ministry to middle school students, high school students, and their families. The worship portion of the role is responsible for planning, organizing, and spiritually leading multiple worship experiences on weekends and other events as needed. You must agree with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and the mission of OSBC. The director will serve under the direction and support of the Lead Teaching Pastor.


Worship Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, lead, and evaluate congregational worship in multiple experiences.
  • Equip volunteers with resources to further their gifts
  • Assimilate, train, and shepherd volunteers
  • Determine, set, and maintain annual budget
  • Measure and evaluate effectiveness of Worship Ministry

Youth Responsibilities

  • Minister to, and shepherd students and their families
  • Equip parents with resources for their student(s)
  • Assimilate, train, and shepherd volunteers
  • Plan and execute annual events
  • Determine, set, and maintain annual budget
  • Measure and evaluate effectiveness of Youth Ministry

Qualifications and Requirements

Youth

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Experience working with and teaching students in a ministry setting preferred

Worship

  • Possess instrumental, vocal, and musical talent
  • Proven ability to lead others into Christ-centered worship
  • Comfortable with aspects of technology related to worship and communication (sound, lighting, video, etc.)

Administrative

  • Proficient in administrative systems (Mac and Windows applications)
  • Able to make decisions, problem solve, manage conflict and work well on a team
  • Self-starter, flexible and adaptable
  • Demonstrate good time management
